How We Can Help

HOW WE CAN HELP

Our approach for udder health management is particularly focused on preventing new infections. This, coupled with early detection and proper diagnosis and treatment of mastitis, assures high quality milk production. Our integral milk quality program is based in 5 pillars: animals, equipment, environment, pathogens, and the most important, people.

The milking center is the heart and soul of a dairy. It is also the most labor intensive, normally working almost 24-7 year-round. This, along with a challenged workforce, makes the milking center one of the most difficult areas to manage in larger dairy farms. Potential communication and cultural barriers can complicate the relationship between dairy owners, managers, and employees. Under the current circumstances, a combination of effective leadership, evidence-based management, and employee development programs is the best strategy to improve cow udder heath and milking center efficiency.
